The subject of this blog is now live. It is still a little buggy, but sending a txt to +64 29 TO W8TRK (or +64 29 869-8875...easier) with a weight in kilos e.g. 50 or 75.5 etc will log it, and then you can set your password (send password <password> to the same number.<br /><br /><br />It's all going nicely. I just need to see if anyone wants to use it except me now :-) The GSM modem on the backend needs to be lifted too as it sometimes drops out of coverage for a few minutes.<br /><br />Anyway, try it out and let me know if it works for you and your suggestions for improvements.<br /><br />Cheers,<br />Bruce<br /><br />PS it should also be possible to log your weight in pounds (lbs), stones (st) and those with ounces (oz) attached. This is the beginning and yet I can't yet write about what is happening. If I do then I fear it will not :-)<br /><br />Over the coming weeks I will take v1.0 of w8trk live, and start learning all the problems and desires from my new users. I could call it a beta, but hey I think that's been overdone.<br /><br />I need to find a decent way of marketing it, probably a not-too-successful way to allow me to get some feedback and fix the annoyances before annoying too many other people.<br /><br />More news as it happens. I've decided to host this blog here, rather than on the main server, as I don't have time to hack on tobbe's eblog application. More's the pity.<br /><br />Anyhow, I'll announce w8trk here when it goes live. Then you'll see what I've been working on, I'll get some link-love, and we'll all get to evaluate if my work has been worth it.
